Meditation & Mindful Movement
INTROSPECTION & BEYOND
This meditation program includes an introduction to meditation practices and participants will explore a different type of guided meditation each week. Meditation helps to relax your mind, increase your ability to concentrate and decrease stress. Life moves so quickly and even taking just a few moments each day to focus on an intentional meditation practice, you will find that you are able to experience a more peaceful state of being in your everyday life. This program is for beginners who are interested in learning the principles of meditation and for those looking to deepen their practice.
This program is a special 5-8 week series that is typically offered in the spring and fall.
FINDING INNER PEACE
Calm your mind, settle your body and find a softer focus to your day. These classes include gentle, mindful movement and breathing practices that support your meditation practice. You will explore guided meditations from many traditions which may include: Mantra meditation, guided imagery, mindfulness etc... Meditation can be done in a chair or on a yoga mat. Leave feeling centered, restored, and balanced within the body, mind, and spirit. These classes offer a safe and nourishing space to experience the benefits of meditation, whether you are a beginner or are looking to deepen your practice.
Yoga for Healthy Joints Series
Got achy joints? Don’t let arthritis slow you down! If you want less pain and stiffness, more strength, flexibility, increased energy and a feeling of overall well-being, join us for this special 5 week program. Yoga promotes the circulation of fluids inside the joints, which helps to facilitate ease of motion, and it even helps you sleep better! Stretches & poses will be done seated and standing, with no need to get down on the floor. Move your body mindfully, you will be happier and healthier for it!
Finding Balance! Series
At any age, balance, agility, and coordination are vital for daily living. Join us for this 5 week special yoga program to improve your balance, agility and reduce your risk of falls and injury. Exercises & poses will be done seated and standing, with no need to get down on the floor. Build strength and improve your balance through the practice of yoga that will include exercises from an evidence-based fall prevention program.
